ARCHIVED WORSHIP SERVICES
As you know, the purpose of Wesley Memorial is to make and sustain spiritually healthy followers of Jesus Christ who live in ways that transform the world.
In light of growing concerns about the spread of COVID-19, today we want to place a strong emphasis on making and sustaining physically healthy followers of Jesus Christ at Wesley Memorial.
Beginning today, Wesley Memorial is suspending most activities at the church for the next two weeks in order to protect our members who are most vulnerable (those over 65 with compromised immune systems). Many members of our congregation fit into this category, and we want to do everything possible to keep them safe during this time.
While we are suspending our in-person Sunday worship services for the next two Sundays, we are working on a way for you to worship with us via Facebook Sunday morning. Please closely monitor our Facebook posts.
Our leadership team carefully weighed our options and we feel that this is the best course of action for the congregation as a whole. Just this afternoon Bishop Paul Leeland advised us to suspend public worship services to reduce members’ exposure to COVID-19, affirming the decisions we were already in the process of making.
We have made the decision to continue to keep Wesley Memorial School open. For now. We are carefully monitoring that situation.
These decisions are, of course, subject to change.
Suspending worship services and church activities will also give church staff the opportunity to deep clean and disinfect the facilities after each and every use.
Activities for the following week will be listed below. Look for ongoing updates to activities and schedules in:
Please call our members who are not electronically connected and share this information. As always, if you have a question about a meeting or an event, call the church at 336.884.2204. We appreciate your patience as we navigate these uncharted waters.
Know that our decisions are being prayerfully made for the good of our members, our church, and our community.
