Be an angel, Mary, or Joseph! In addition to live animals with the nativity, this year we will also be adding a "Christmas Village" in the front circle so guests can connect with our church afterwards. This is a great service opportunity for entire Sunday school classes, small groups, families, children and youth. To sign up for your spot, click the red button below or call 336-884-2204. Let's make this our best year yet!

Wesley Memorial Ball Caps Now Available for Preorder

christmas eve offering

This Christmas Eve, we invite you to join Wesley Memorial in continuing our tradition of generosity and community outreach. This year, our offering will focus on hurricane relief efforts for our neighbors in the Western North Carolina mountains.

Our Missions Team has been actively gathering information and identifying the best ways to support these communities as they face the long road to recovery. While immediate needs have been addressed through organizations such as Samaritan’s Purse, UMCOR, and Weaverville United Methodist Church, the rebuilding process presents significant challenges. Many families and churches in this region have experienced devastating losses, and we are committed to walking alongside them as they rebuild their lives and livelihoods.

The funds collected will be directed to long-term relief efforts, including potential partnerships with local Methodist churches or organizations deeply connected to the impacted communities. Your generosity will help provide hope, resources, and encouragement to those navigating this difficult journey.

Thank you for your compassion and for being the hands and feet of Christ during this season of giving. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

-Building a Foundation of Prayer (Making prayer the starting place for all of life)

-Cooperating with the Holy Spirit (Learning to hear God’s voice)

-Everyday Evangelism (Learning to share your faith right where you live, work and play)

-Becoming a Disciple-Maker (Mobilizing every member to participate in the Great Commission)

Cost is $25 and open to any youth or adult. Sessions will be at Wesley Memorial on Friday night and Saturday morning/afternoon (breakfast and lunch provided on Saturday). To register, visit wesleymemorial.org/spiritandtruth. Questions? Rev. Clark Chilton cchilton@wesleymemorial.org.

Small groups are at the heart of how we do life together in Christ. Wesley Memorial has a long tradition with the creation and care of small groups. These groups offer the encouragement and support we need as we seek to be more like Christ each day. We celebrate our current small groups and are excited to expand this ministry to support and connect our growing congregation. As we seek to do so, we need your help. We're here to provide comfort and assistance in any way possible because your well-being matters greatly to us.

2024 Missions Update

Our Commitment to the community

The Missions team has decided to split our monthly Communion Sunday food collection between Open Door Ministries and Macedonia Family Resource Center. Both of these organizations are an integral part in fighting hunger in the High Point area. Macedonia received food donations from the postal drive in April but have already depleted their pantry as more families are requesting food. Many of these family units are becoming multigeneration because of the rising rent cost and the cost of living. Open Door Ministries provides critical services in our community for individuals and families experiencing homelessness and/or food insecurity. Wesley Memorial has been associated with this ministry for many years by providing both financial aid and volunteers. To help offset this increased demand for Food Pantry items, a collection of nonperishables is taken up each month on Communion Sunday.

Sunday, January 5, 2025 will be our next collection going to Macedonia Family Resource Center.

Sunday, February 2, 2025 will be our next collection going to Open Door Ministries.

Bins will be placed outside of all three services for your deposits. Please bring items as you're able, knowing your kindness helps our neighbors in need. Thank you for your generosity.
