Living Well in Tough Times: First and Second Peter
These short letters were written by the Apostle Peter to Christians that were suffering from trials both within the church and from the society. How do we live our Christian faith when friends and family misunderstand and even become hostile. Peter offers practical guidance about living a godly life that finds strength and comfort from a relationship with Jesus Christ even in the most difficult of seasons.

The Horse and His Boy
This is a fantasy novel by English author C.S. Lewis written for children that also teaches profound Christian truths to adults with eyes to read between the lines. It was the fifth of the Chronicles of Narnia. It follows the escape of a boy named Shasta and a talking horse, Bree, who join forces with another runaway pair, Aravis and her horse Hwin, to flee from Calormen and warn Narnia of an impending invasion. The story is known for it “Arabian Nights” feel. Studying this short novel is an entertaining way to focus on the adventure of the Christian life and make the Bible come alive.

The Problem of Pain: Adult vacation bible school
If God is all-powerful, why does he allow his creatures to suffer pain? Using this classic of Christian thought, we’ll seek to disentangle this practical issue. C.S. Lewis will be our guide through the Bible as we study the human condition.
