Music Ministry

Mission and Programming

The mission of the Traditional Music Ministry is to create musical experiences that glorify God, inspire people, and support the liturgy.

The Chancel Choir and Handbells groups are active throughout the year, regularly leading in worship at the 11am service. The choir also presents special programming multiple times per year, particularly during major church seasons like Advent and Christmas, Holy Week, and All Saints.

The traditional music ministry also seeks to support musical vibrancy in the High Point community by hosting concerts and events—visit the church calendar or follow our social media to learn more!

How to get involved

The Chancel Choir is always open to new members, including teens and young adults. The Chancel Choir rehearses regularly from 6:45-8:15 on Wednesday nights, and gathers at 10:15 on Sunday mornings for the 11:00am service. Childcare available upon request.

The Handbell Choir rehearses from 12:45-1:45pm on Tuesdays and 5:30-6:30 on Wednesday nights and plays once a month during the school year. To get involved, please email Charli Mills, Director of Traditional Music, at cmills@wesleymemorial.org.
