PALM SUNDAY
Surrendering Our Expectations
Clerestory Window No. 9: Jesus on the Donkey. In the smaller scene at the bottom of the left lancet, Jesus triumphantly enters Jerusalem on a donkey. As you pray, take a moment to prepare your heart for the journey of Holy Week—the road to the cross and the victory of the empty tomb.
Heavenly Father, your chosen people expected a Messiah who would be an earthly king bringing salvation. You sent your son Jesus as a humble servant who was willing and able to choose death to bring eternal salvation to all who accept the gift. Thank you.
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. - Zechariah 9:9”
HOLY MONDAY
Cleansing the Temple of Our Hearts
Clerestory Window No. 2: Jesus casts out the money changers from the temple. As we pray and reflect on this moment, may we also invite Him to search our hearts—removing what distracts, restoring what is sacred, and making room for true worship.
Lord, I’ve noticed anger, bitterness and buried grudges in my heart. I learned it’s separating me from an intimate relationship with you. I invite you to turn the tables of my sins and cleanse my heart today.
“They came to Jerusalem, and on entering the temple area he began to drive out those selling and buying there. Then he taught them saying, “Is it not written: ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples’? But you have made it a den of thieves.” Mark 11: 15-17
HOLY TUESDAY
Faithfulness and Watchfulness
Clerestory Window No. 9: Large medallion, top – The Good Shepherd in action. Jesus the Good Shepherd protects his flock from a snarling wolf. Meanwhile, at right, a “hired” shepherd flees the scene, unwilling to make the supreme sacrifice. As we pray and reflect, may we also be moved to follow His example, reaching out with love, drawing others toward Him, and trusting His voice to lead us each day.
Jesus, thank you for being my shepherd. For faithfully watching over me, protecting me, loving me, and most of all, dying for me. I am so lucky to be counted among your flock. Help me to gather in other sheep who do not yet know you but need you. In your name I pray. Amen
"The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." - John 10:11
HOLY WEDNESDAY
Trust in God’s Plan
Clerestory Window No. 5: Parable of Mustard seed. The tree shown is a Mustard tree, grown from a small seed, depicted in the ground below. The Holy Spirit emanates from the mature tree in all directions (Matthew 13: 31-32).As we pray today, may we trust that God is at work in growing, strengthening, and bringing life in ways we cannot yet see.
Heavenly Father, You have blessed us with all we need. When we confess our sins to You, and profess our belief in You as our Lord and Savior, You grow our mustard seed of faith in you with Your indwelling Holy Spirit. You even enable us to abide in You! Thank you,Jesus, for bearing my sin on the cross. Your grace is more amazing every single day. I trust You, I love You,and I thank You. Amen
“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches." Matthew 13:31b-32
MAUNDY THURSDAY
Humility and Servant Love
Clerestory Window No. 2: Jesus washes Peter's feet. A Surprising act of humility that became a standard for Christian service. As we pray today, let’s reflect on this sacred moment, may we be willing to serve, to love deeply, and to follow His example.
Lord Jesus, it grieves our hearts that you died for doing everything right. Help us to serve you with the same selflessness you have served us. Amen.
“Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and dry them with the towel around his waist."
- John 13: 3-5
GOOD FRIDAY
Gratitude for the Cross
Clerestory Window No. 10: The centurion's declaration. Watching Jesus dying on the cross, a centurion states, "truly this was the Son of God."As we pray today, let’s reflect on the cross. That we may see clearly, recognizing that HIS grace runs deep for us; deep enough to give his life for us.
Gracious God, thank you for your grace that covers us all and for the gift of your son, Jesus who made a way for us to be saved. In your holy name, Amen.
“And when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that in this way He breathed His last, he said, 'Truly this man was the Son of God!'” - Mark 15:39
HOLY SATURDAY
Waiting with Hope
Clerestory Window No. 6: Zacchaeus. The famous Jericho-based tax collector is being called down out of his sycamore tree by Jesus, on the road to his salvation. More of Jesus' ongoing association with sinners, with the outcasts of society. As we pray today, may we patiently wait and remember that even in the stillness… He is at work.
Lord, we wait in wonder for you to come and as we do we acknowledge our waiting can take many forms. Zaccheus climbed a tree for a better view. After the crucifixion, the disciples huddled in a darkened room with fear and trembling. Will you come? Of course you will. Give us patience while we wait.
“Now a man there named Zacchaeus, who was a chief tax collector and also a wealthy man, was seeking to see who Jesus was ...” - Luke 19:2
EASTER SUNDAY
Resurrection Power

Glorious God, who through your Son Jesus Christ has overcome death and opened to us the gate of eternal life: Grant that we who accept the work of Christ and rejoice on this Day know the joy of your life- giving Spirit in this world and everlasting glory in the world to come. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Risen Lord. Amen.
“Then the angel said to the women in reply, “Do not be afraid! I know that you are seeking Jesus the crucified. He is not here, for he has been raised just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay." - Matthew 28:5-6
