Where God Is Leading Us Next

Stay informed as we search for our next Lead Pastor

Wesley Memorial family, as our church enters an important season of transition, we are committed to approaching the process with prayer, wisdom, and intentionality. Please know that your SPRC and pastoral search team are already at work to serve these goals! Guided by proven work on pastoral transitions, our leadership is taking thoughtful steps to ensure a healthy, thorough, and spirit-lead search for our next Senior Pastor.

This season is not only about change, but about opportunity- an opportunity to celebrate God’s faithfulness, to strengthen our foundation, and to prepare for the future He has for our church. We are grateful for your prayers, your trust, and your unity as we move forward together with hope and confidence.

Guided Prayer

The Pastor Search Committee appreciates your commitment to spiritually surround the search process with prayer. We encourage you to take advantage of the beauty of our campus in order to also physically surround our church with prayer. Please feel free to pray in the prayer labyrinth next to the dining hall, the columbarium garden, the chapel and in any area of the interior of the church when open.

Step One – (completed in June through August)

As the survey was administered and evaluated, the congregation prayed for God‘s guidance and for clarity on the combined wisdom of our church family. Prayerful praises lifted for Jeff’s ministry.

Step Two - (Hearing God’s Voice- Work begins in early Fall)

In this step, the pastor search committee will begin receiving and evaluating applications from candidates. Pray that the committee will hear Gods voice with clarity and feel peace as they discern whom they should interview. Pray that as they read applications, listen to sermon samples and talk with candidates, they place the church’s needs and desires before their own. Pray for Ken and Lydia for peace-filled and joyful hearts as Ken steps into his transitional role as interim pastor in service to God and to our church family.

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (KJV) ~ Psalm 119:105
